Festival for contemporary music, art and political discourse
Four nights packed with concerts, live acts, and DJs from all over the world. Four days of lectures, discussions, workshops, installations and performances from (independent) organizations, critical thinkers, activists and artists. Most events take place in venues carved inside the historic Schlossberg – the hill in the center of Graz.
The aim of Elevate 2008 was, together with scientists and activists, to raise awareness of the importance of the commons and to shed light on the social and cultural conflicts in the usage of these goods. This was the framework for discussions, workshops, films and lectures as well as for the presentation of innovative projects.
The Elevate team says THANK YOU to all our helping hands and the great crowd who came to the discussions, workshops and the music programme.
More than 6000 visitors for the discussions in the afternoon and the music during the night confirmed that our concept works very well: dance, talk, communicate and meet interesting people in a unique environment.
