"I want to congradulate you and all the others for the festival that you put on in Graz. It was just great. I hope that the festival in 2009 will be as much a success as the last one."
Percy Schmeiser (CAN)

Elevate is one of the most interesting and challenging festivals around the world (and yes, I have been to many of them). Bringing together debates about crucial contemporary themes, and also artists concerned with expanding the boarders of music and live performance, it is hard to conceive of other similar intense and comprehensive intellectual intense intellectual experiences. And of course, the festival gets you dancing all night long too.“

"There are not alot of festivals that combine aesthetics, contemporary digital media, and great music. The festival is groundbreaking in every way. Why does everyone always separate music from theory? The Elevate Festival, beyond any doubt, proves that it's a great thing to get people to think and dance!"
Paul D. Miller aka. DJ Spooky
(artist, lecturer, author/ US)

Thank you again for the gracious invite and for including SC in last week's discourse. It was an incredible event and I applaud you and your time for pulling it off without a hitch (or if there were hitches, you couldn't tell)“

"The Elevate Festival on the commons was a landmark event. It brought together a provocative group of international thinkers and activists who are grappling with the commons, a new worldview whose impact is only beginning to be felt in politics and culture. The festival's commitment to the outer edges of culture can be seen in its amazing roster of performances by independent musicians. There are very few events that bring together politics and culture, and even fewer that do it well."

The Elevate Festival was a tremendous opportunity to meet representatives from the global Commons movement while it is still coalescing and coming into itself. The Festival itself was beautifully organized, a tribute to the commitment and skills of Daniel Erlacher and the Elevate officials, staff, and volunteers. I had a wonderful time, met some fabulous people, and took away a new commitment to helping create a global community of academics, researchers, activists, and musicians. I had a great time and hope I, and my organization, can be part of the Elevate Festival in the future.“
