// Chief Rebel Angel

Chief Rebel Angel was formed by 5 drinking buddies in January 2004 as a side-project. Originally dedicated to the music of such bands as Entombed & Disfear, the band quickly grew out as one of the most notorious and noisy  outfits of Budapest underground. Their shows never exceeding the length of 25 minutes are powerful and uncompromising performances of old-school rock’n’roll behavior  often ending up in smashing up some of the stage in total chaos.

Currently performing as a trio, the band's driving force is guitarist & main songwriter Barnabas Kiss (formerly of aspiring stoner-rockers Polly Is Dead); vocalist & bassman Peter Felfoldi, and one of the country’s most dynamically  and spectacularly hitting stickman, Balazs Pandy (ex-The Taktika). Despite the evident inspiration drawn from bands of the Scandinavian scene, Chief Rebel Angel also managed to develop a unique musical voice of its own, incorporating the live energy and sludgy sound of such ensembles as Napalm  Death, Kyuss, Zeke, Dukes of Nothing or Raging Speedhorn and the melodic touch of  classic(Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden) and post-modern rock (Mars Volta, Jane’s Addiction). After a number of line-up changes and shows in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Baltic states and Finland Chief Rebel Angel are currently preparing for a full length.
