Starting out as a 16-year-old thrash drummer in central Massachusetts garages and allages clubs, Drumcorps (AKA Aaron Spectre) is Berlin’s newest answer to break/grindcore.
Not just another kid senselessly mashing up heavy metal, but an artist who takes a lifelong obsession with grindcore and a relentlessly innovative approach to breakcore and seamlessly merges the two.
At 23 he moved to Berlin and discovered a thriving breakcore underground rumbling through the squats hanging onto the last vestiges of punk rock. He began touring across Europe and North America, and his pioneering sound has won him much lauded performances at Europe's largest breakcore and drum and bass parties. 2005 saw his debut 10" on Bong Ra's new Kriss label and he's almost finished his first full-length for Jason Forrest's Cock Rock Disco label, due in September 2006.
