the duo winterphonic from graz, founded by emanuel jauk in 2004 who, as „19 hertz“, dedicated himself principally to experimental electronic music, can be stylistically placed between trip hop, experimental music and jazz; rough sounds meet the wonderfully smooth of the singer dani ettl and heavy grooves contrast with melancholic melodies. the results are bitter-sweet experiments in tried and trusted tranquility.
