Wenshiz is the founder of the e-lastic crew, one of the oldest still existing crews of the Viennese drum&bass scene. Music always has been very important for the dj, who was born in 1980. He learned to play the guitar and drums before he discovered his love for black vinyl. ‘It happened at Wicked, a jungle night at the Flex. I instantly fell in love with that sound!’. In 1997 he swapped his drumsticks and his guitar for a set of turntables, mixer and a sampler. Ever since then he has been spinning drum&bass records for the Viennese crowd.
At the moment wenshiz is focussing on promoting his monthly club night “Primetime” and on new studio productions. You can check out his recent tunes on his myspace profile.
Inspired by the work of his brother wenshiz, Robert aka Friday 13 started djing in the year 2000. Ever since then he’s been checking out every release with an amen breakbeat and some massive rinselines, but only the best ones made it into his records bag. Since 2004 he has been the co-promoter of the monthly “Primetime” club night, were he played alongsides dj hidden, crossfire, paul b, influx uk, skynet and many other well known djs.
