Festival for contemporary music and political discourse

Four nights packed with concerts, live acts, and DJs from all over the world. Four days of installations, performances, and discussions from independent organizations and artists. Most events take place in venues carved inside the historic Schlossberg – the hill in the centre of Graz.

elevate is not just about music, but also about political discourse and knowledge. It is a gathering of forward thinking activists and initiatives as well as a playground for new ideas and projects. Topics such as „guaranteed minimum income“, „public television services in the digital age“ and „digital video streaming and distribution“, will be presented and discussed in a relaxed atmosphere. Independent organisations and all kinds of activists will be featured and are also incorporated into the planning process of the content of the festival. The festival is about encouraging people to think and act politically as well as empowering critical positions.
