Max Brand Synthesizer Workshop
This workshop is for those who are keen to find out about the ins and outs of the Max Brand Synthesizer. Where frequency dividers, tension-driven modules, ribbon controlers and piano keys intersect, this machine embodies uniqueness and is the fruit of over a decade of collaboration between composer Max Brand and Bob Moog. After a rundown of the machine's specifics, the audience is invited to come in and create their own sounds.
The evening will also include a presentation of Elisabeth Schimana's book “Maschinen für die Oper. Der Komponist Max Brand. Visionen, Brüche und die Realität.” (Hollitzer Verlag, 2016)
