Momentum in the Matrix

The Covid-19 pandemic weakened the momentum of some movements: Lockdowns instead of protest in the streets. Digital technologies and organisational concepts gained momentum, even though video conferencing and home office concepts existed long before the pandemic. It took a virus to spread both like an avalanche. However, it was mainly the big players that profited - with a few exceptions. Existing open source technologies could not establish themselves in the mainstream.

In this session however the panelists present and talk about concrete alternatives to the commercial and centralized social media and communication tools available today. A lot of great software - free and open source software - exists and is ready to be used and expanded.
