Nine years ago, the native of Graz ended up in the Rhineland as a tree squatter and environmental activist, where he has since been fighting to preserve the Hambach forest, which is threatened by the expansion of coal mining by RWE. Time and again he can also be found in other parts of Europe when it comes to supporting the development of resistance structures against nature-destroying projects.
