Stefan Kasberger's big passion is to open up, connect and use free knowledge - which is best summed up unter the terms Open Data and Open Science. He is chairman of Open Knowledge Austria, a NGO which supports the idea of free access to knowledge for everyone, and co-founder of openscienceASAP. His scientific interests are located mainly in the fields of Computational Social Science and Political Geography. A continous line in his broad spectrum of activities is the ongoing exploration of new frontiers and a sociopolitical approach. Besides this, he is a self-employed programmer and training manager at projects such as ContentMine or Open Data Portal Austria.
