Peter Schneider (ch)
Peter Schneider studied philosophy, German studies and psychology in Bochum, Münster and Zurich. He lives in Zurich and works there as a psychoanalyst. From 2004 to 2014 he was a private lecturer in psychoanalysis and from 2014 to 2017 Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Bremen, then Lecturer for History and Epistemology of Psychoanalysis at the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin until 2021. Since 2014 he has been PD for clinical psychology at the University of Zurich. He has also been active for many years in Swiss media as a satirist and columnist. He is the author of numerous books; most recently published: Normal, disturbed, crazy. On the Peculiarities of Psychiatric Diagnoses. Stuttgart 2020 and Follow the Science. Plädoyer gege die wissenschaftsphilosophische Verdummung und für die wissenschaftliche Artenvielfalt. Berlin 2020. Since 2021, Peter Schneider has been the editor of the new series "EPF-Essays" in the Zurich-based Edition Patrick Frey. The first volume, Gil Eyal: The Crisis of Expertise, has already been published. It will be followed before the end of the year by Elisabeth A. Wilson: Intestines, Pills Feminism. Two more books by E.A. Wilson are in preparation.
