Lyana Mytsko - Art and Therapy at Lviv Municipal Art Center
Keynote with Q&A
"Spivpratsya means Collaboration"
Lyana Mytsko is the director of the Municipal Art Center. In her keynote, she will talk about how the Municipal Art Center has been transformed into a refugee center for internally displaced persons since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The project is called "Spivpratsya" (which means "cooperation"). In three weeks of work, more than 600 migrants were admitted for rest and psychological care. One of the pillars is to help refugees to resume work. Since then, two gallery spaces and a media library have been converted into a space for cooperation between IDPs and residents of Lviv. In addition, lecture halls are currently being restored in the building complex.
Recently, the Municipal Art Center has partially resumed exhibition, educational and art therapy activities. The biggest goal is to create a center for art therapy, Center.Lab, which will be operated as part of the Lviv Municipal Art Center.
