Pia Lamberty (de)

Pia Lamberty is a social psychologist working at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. The main focus of her research lies on the development and consequences of conspiracy thinking. In addition, she investigates how emotional reactions towards terroristic attacks (such as in Nice) affect people’s attitudes as well as solidarity with refugees (e.g., in social networks).
Besides her research, she is engaged in the #Hasshilft project - the first ever involuntary online charity initiative. For every misanthropic comment on Facebook, there is a donation for either refugee projects or an initiative against right-wing extremism.
