The historian and journalist Dr. Raimund Löw is currently head of the ORF office in Brussels. For his reportage and publications on time-relevant questions and international political themes, he was selected in 2007 as Foreign-affairs Journalist of the Year by the industry journal Der Österreichische Journalist (The Austrian Journalist). Löw initially worked at the Ludwig-Boltzmann-Institut für Geschichte der Arbeiterbewegung (the Ludwig-Boltzmann Institute for the History of the Labour Movement) and taught at the Universities of Vienna, Salzburg and Nottingham. From 1989 to 1991, he was the ORF foreign correspondent in Moscow, after which he worked as a correspondent in the USA and, from 1995 to 1997, headed the ORF office in Washington. Back in Austria, Löw was foreign head of affairs to ZiB 2-Redaktion before becoming yet again head of the ORF office in Washington. Since August of 2007 he has headed the branch office in Brussels.
