Simone Rowat (uk)
Simone Rowat is a filmmaker and researcher at Forensic Architecture.
She holds an MA from the Royal College of Art and a BA from The Slade School of Fine Art in London. Her practice is concerned with memory, simulation, and neuroplasticity. Simone joined Forensic Architecture in 2016, where she began working with witness testimonies from Saydnaya prison in Syria and has since worked on investigations of US airstrikes in Syria, the testimony of German state security agent Andreas Temme in relation to the murder of Halit Yozgat (77sqm_9:26min), torture and illegal detention in Cameroon, and the Ayotzinapa Platform.
