The pink noise Girls Rock Camp, organised by pink noise, the association for the promotion of feminist popcultural activities, is an annual week-long workshop where basic knowledge about music production is passed on. Girls and young women aged 14 - 21 are given the opportunity to meet other music-loving young people, write songs together and form bands - in short, to find their own way to music. The program includes radio workshops, as well as stage equipment and self-defense courses. On the last evening the participants can present their self-composed songs at a public concert. The association wants to give young women the opportunity to discover and test out their own abilities, and to cooperatively develop their creativity, outside of structures shaped by social prejudices or patriarchalism.
