Opening and Mediachannel

On Wednesday 24.10. at 20:00, the Elevate Festival 2012 will open this year's program at Dom im Berg. For five days and nights the festival will present a combination of music, art, discourse and film screenings. As in previous years, large parts of the discourse program can be followed via the Elevate Media Channel.
Discussions and presentations will be broadcast live via the Elevate Media Channel on the Elevate website. For the first time this year, the stream for selected events will be available both in German and in English translation.
Additionally, we will provide an opportunity to participate actively in the Internet discussions: On the respective event websites, as well as via Twitter, questions and comments can be posted in the form of short messages. Official festivalhashtag: #elevatefestival
On top of that, a free wireless network will be available to all festival-goers during the events: City-Access provides fast Internet access at all festival sites. Thanks to a partnership with Citycom, a Graz-Holding enterprise, Elevate can offer the audience bandwidths of up to 100Mbit/s! This enables a top-quality media channel on-site!
Already tomorrow, the first live stream will broadcast the opening at Dom im Berg, which will include an opening speech held by Polly Higgins, a Skype connection to Vandana Shiva and Cynthia McKinney, and a video message from Noam Chomsky. The opening show will be presented by Clemens Haipl, one of the main project managers of the legendary Project X of FM4.
The Music & Arts Program will open at 22:00 with the attempt of a first overview of the musical genres, directions and approaches that will be presented on the various festival days.
