Peter Vitouch

Since 1988 Peter Vitouch has worked as a Professor for media psychology at the Graduate Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies of the University of Vienna and has given guest lectures at the Universities of Graz and Klagenfurt. Alongside his academic career he was an advisory consultant for the ORF children's series "Am Dam Des" and contributed to the design of BR and NDR programs. Since 1991 he has been the head of the Boltzmann-Institute of Empirical Media Research. In addition to numerous publications on media psychology he has written more than 1,000 columns for the daily newspapers "Kurier" and "Die Presse". In 2004 Vitouch was appointed as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Vienna.
