John Heckle is a DJ and producer from Merseyside UK. He has produced records for Mathematics Recordings, Tabernacle Records, Crème Organization, Lunar Disko and more. His releases include two full length studio albums, The Second Son and Desolate Figures (as well as The Last Magic Maker mini-album), plus multiple singles, remixes and EPs. Life on Titan, his debut for Mathematics, picked up a Qwartz Electronic Music Award.
Beginning with residencies in Liverpool from the age of fifteen, he built up a reputation for fast paced mixing and an affinity for hardware, performing using 3 turntables and various drum machines from an early age. Machine-driven live sets soon followed, using a collection of ever-varying hardware; a set which is constantly evolving but always maintains the same high energy of his DJ sets. In 2014, Heckle anonymously produced 9 EP’s for Tabernacle sub-label Head Front Panel, and now tours HFP Live, following a debut Live PA of the Head Front Panel material at Tresor Berlin.
