Elektro Guzzi

Elektro Guzzi Klaus Pichler

The austrian techno trio Elektro Guzzi is best known for their blistering live shows. They arrive at a machine-like sound with the instrumentation of a rock band: guitar, bass and drum kit. The appeal of matching sound and performance vision in real time – you see how every sound is created, right there, on the spot – have made them a primary choice for cutting edge festivals and clubs from Berghain to Fabric. The group has released quite a lot of music over the last years and their third album "Observatory" is available via Macro Records since may. Instrument credits have been wiped off the record sleeve and replaced by a string and a drum skin. With their sound inching ever closer to drum machines and synths, this artwork is exemplary for the band's development in both, performance of music – and the music performed.
