Bruno Tozzini

Bruno Tozzini is a creative director, entrepreneur, writer and speaker from São Paulo, Brazil. Tozzini has worked for several advertising agencies and international networks such as R/GA and DDB, bringing up an extensive background in technology, social media, music and underground culture, to innovative projects for companies such as Intel and Google or artists like The Black Eyed Peas and Atari Teenage Riot.

In some of those roles, he was responsible for a range of creative people, from designers to coders, acting as a creative-catalyst to make something new in the propaganda industry.

Tozzini grew up between hardcore bands and experimental electronic producers in downtown São Paulo, becoming co-founder of the legendary brazilian crew TEMP in the early 2000s. TEMP was conceived as a D.I.Y. multi-task group of young DJs, VJs, producers, activists and streetart artists inspired by Hakim Bey's temporary autonomous zones (TAZ). In 2002 the group started occupying lost places in the city to promote hours of noise music from local and international artists, workshops, visual arts and cyber activism.

Along all efforts within the TEMP collective, Tozzini released one of the first netlabels in the country - Digital Enemy Records - and a weekly podcast - Zona TEMP - giving free downloads and supporting indie artists, in an era post-napster but far from huge streaming services and social media platforms. The group has disappeared in 2007.

Since 2010, Tozzini is faculty member of Miami AdSchool, an international school for creativity and ideas, where he can dive on topics as social media, internet of things and smart cities.

Nowadays he owns a small brand called DON, where he can eventually use as a lab for tech and clothing experiments. The very first was a wearable device and a digital platform that use caps with embedded RFID chip (Radio Frequency ID) to give access in concerts and clubs.

He is also regularly writing articles for Medium.com and contributing to blogs, podcasts and newspapers. As speaker, Tozzini usually is invited to renowned universities and tech events like Campus Party, Social Media Week and Digital Think in Chile.

In the last year, Tozzini gave a lecture about wearable technology at TEDx while he and his project DON/AHEAD were selected as one of the most innovative in 2014 by the brazilian magazine ProXXIma.
