Birgit Mahnkopf
Birgit Mahnkopf is professor emeritus of European Politics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law Berlin (HWR Berlin). She´s a member of the Institute for International Political Economy Berlin (IPE Berlin) and of the academic council of Attac Germany. Her research focuses on economic, social and political dimensions of globalization; political economy of European integration; social-ecological transition; sociology of work and industrial relations. She published 12 books (some together with Elmar Altvater).
Some of her most recent publications: „Greening Inequality? The Limits of the Green Growth Agenda“ (in „Combating Inequality. The Global North and South“, Routledge, 2016), „Can green growth rescue capitalism from its own contractions? A critical assessment of the green growth approach - with a special focus on the European Union“ (in „Green Growth: Ideology, Political Economy and the Alternatives“, Zed Books, 2015) and „Peak capitalism? Wachstumsgrenzen als Grenzen des Kapitalismus“ (in „Am Anfang war die Vision vom Frieden.“ Kremayr & Scheriau, 2016).
