Painted by Numbers addresses the normative effects of algorithmic regimes and the questions of how calculative practices turn into performative technologies of representation. Painted by Numbers investigates the growing influence of digital control systems and their cascading chains of agency on the cultural and social reality. It discusses how navigating knowledge maps internalized in self-governing subjects and subjectivities are enacted through digital rule systems.
