We Are Europe has set out to draw eight European festivals together in an effort to foster European music culture, cultural innovation and creativeness.
Aside from Elevate, festivals like Sónar (Barcelona), Reworks (Thessaloniki), Unsound (Krakow), c/o Pop (Cologne), Nuits Sonores (Lyon), Insomnia (Tromsø) and TodaysArt (Den Haag) are collaborating on the development of programmatic visions and are making great strides creating new cultural possibilities.
From 2019 to 2021 We Are Europe will be putting a significant amount of work into funding and mobilising artists as well as utilising the culture itself to further the European dialogue. The platforms and spaces to conduct this conversation will be provided in the form of festival stages, conferences, workshops and discussion panels. All within the frame work of the collaborating festivals.
In 2019 Elevate welcomes the Insomnia Festival from Tromsø and and the Unsound Festival from Krakow in Graz. Vice versa Elevate will visit Nuits Sonores in Lyon and Insomnia in Tromsø .
