Designing the Sustainable City

In this workshop, Nikolas Kichler and Paul Adrian Schulz will create a concrete utopia of a future city together with the participants. What will happen when single projects and initiatives from the sphere of societal change are fused into a coherent ensemble? Which synergetic effects, possible connections, and relations between the individual pieces of the puzzle can be used and which can be created?

Firstly, the various scales of the utopia will be defined in a World Café, so that afterwards they can be linked with each other in words and pictures. Before that, the leaders of the workshop will provide a rough overview of the essential components of resilient, subsistent, and convivial living environments. Finally, the result will be exhibited in the Forum Stadtpark for the duration of the festival and new ideas can always be added.

The workshop does not require any prior knowledge. Bringing pens (etc.) is an advantage.
