Gregor Kaiser (de)

The social scientist and biologist Gregor Kaiser lives on a farm in Sauerland where he manages a forestry operation. His work focuses on the commons, biopiracy and sustainable agriculture. Recently, his book Eigentum und Allmende. Alternativen zu geistigen Eigentumsrechten an genetischen Ressourcen (Property and Commons. Alternatives to intellectual property rights for genetic resources) was published by oekom. Together with Johannes Kotschi he wrote the discussion paper Open Source für Saatgut (Open Source for seeds), which examines whether the open source principle can also be applied to seeds and plant breeding.
