Katja Kaufmann (de)

Katja Kaufmann, MA, works as a researcher at the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies (CMC Vienna) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt, where she is also enrolled as a PhD student. In her research, she focuses on mobile media technologies and emerging practices as in her current study of Syrian refugees’ smartphone use on their journey to Europe and upon their arrival in Vienna.
