Kiki Hitomi and Shigeru Ishihara - aka breakcore legend DJ Scotch Egg - are WaqWaq Kingdom, a Japanese tribal bass dubstep duo that has been based in Germany for some time. WaqWaq Kingdom fuse traditional Japanese Minyo music style with Jamaican dancehall, footwork, dub, techno, indigenous polyrhythms and Super Nintendo soundtracks in their colourful sound. The duo's hypnotic and shamanic live performances remain memorable.
