Formed in 2001, the style of the band first changed from Gothic Metal to Power Metal, reaching its momentary peak with their completely unique version of Modern Death Metal. Superb guitar melodies combined with remarkable grooves and raw vocals accompanied by clean vocal harmonies characterise the sound of Midgard today. Also definitely worth watching is the stage performance of Peter Fritz (guitar), Michael Lang (guitar), Jan Zelenka (bass) and Wildan Srkalovic (drums), in which the 4 guys manage to get across the true sweating spirit of Rock'n Roll, as shown by the number of sold-out gigs they have played so far across Europe (also including big festivals like “Metalcamp 2004” in Slovenia!). Midgard's first Demo-Album ‘Welcome To Chaosland' obviously lived up to the expectations of the fans of the band and was received very warmly by the critics. The international reviews ranged from ‘good' to ‘excellent'! That is why the band is constantly engaged in the recording sessions for their first regular album, which will be released in late 2004!
