Ian Inaba, a Berkeley, California native, is an acclaimed director, producer and writer. He is a member of the Guerrilla News Network (GNN.tv) and his first feature-length film American Blackout documents the recurring patterns of voter disenfranchisement that occurred during the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. The film has garnered numerous awards at top film festivals in 2006 including a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and Best Documentary at the Urbanworld/Vibe Film Festival. In 2004, his controversial music video for Eminem's "Mosh" was nominated for MTV's Breakthrough Music Video of the Year Award. In 2003 he and his GNN partners published their first book, "True Lies" (penguin/plume). A former investment banker and Silicon Valley executive, Ian is a graduate of the School of Engineering and Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
