An old man, played by Pete Postlethwaite, is the only human being left to live on the devastated planet Earth in the year 2055. He spends his time looking at old footage from 2008 and asking himself: "Why didn`t we stop the climate change when we had the chance?". Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about global warming and human stupidity. To make clear the disruptive forces of the climate change, director Franny Armstrong decided to set the film plot in the future. The film shows different aspects of climate change and so it is also a docmentary about oil, war, politics and consumption. The film celebrated its world premiere in London on March 15th. Over 60 cinemas across the UK hosted the film simultaneously. Finally the the Guiness Book of Records has confirmed that the People's Premiere is the biggest simultaneous premiere in film history.
