Sound Science
Clara Ginther and her colleague Karin Lackner were the first in the German-speaking world to present the topic of predatory publishing in its scientific and social relevance, even before it was brought into the public eye by national and international media in 2018. Clara Ginther has been dealing with questions of scientific communication (Scholarly Communications) for about 20 years. Since completing her studies in Catholic Theology, she has been researching at the intersection of theology, complex systems, conflict theory and text data mining, including during a research stay of several years in England and Ireland. She is currently working at the Graz University Library in the field of e-resource management and scientific communication, with a research focus on Leadership in Scholarly Communications, a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous Environment as well as Fragmentation and Coherence.
