Laokoongruppe
Born in Upper Austria in 1965, resides in Vienna and works as a teacher, musician, one man band and short-circuits the language of Techno with local dialects like Landler, Yodeling and Schlager as well as Synthpop, Bruckner and Schbuert. A hint of Jazz and a bunch of horns are spun into his pathos-laced, euphorically pulsing pieces. Schwamberger was able to accomplish what only a few unique artists like Attwenger are able to do. To generate something completely unheard and unique utilizing traditional local music and key elements of the country, avoiding provincialism and looking far out into the world.
