Runes formed in 1996. Alexandra (voc) and Catta (drums/electronics) went through their share of names and side projects (Kien, Dreamspider, Last Boy Shout, Iskra) but 2010 saw the duo return to their sonic roots that grew out of a wide variety of influences like 80's wave, punk, free jazz, metal and improv, all fusing into a dense, dynamic and powerful core that focuses on the bare essentials and makes it work. By incorporating years of experience, Runes have now come full circle.
