Aurora Halal is a producer, video artist and creator of Brooklyn’s Mutual Dreaming party series & record label. She’s spent the last two years touring Europe, as well as performing an analog A/V collaboration with Ital. Juno Plus described her debut solo EP Passageway as a “churning piece of deep, acidic techno which pulses with a kind of strange plasmodia energy.” Shadowy and minimal, her hardware live sets have a hazy sensuality and metallic dance floor intensity. She is currently working on a follow up record and recently put out a collaborative EP with Ital on his imprint Lovers Rock as well as a track on a compilation released by Brooklyn’s Bossa Nova Civic Club. Inspired by the music of producers like Function and Terrence Dixon, musicans with a deep, clean sound which utilise a rich range of frequencies, her music unsurprisingly evokes even more explicitly sensual quality then her previous work with Steve Summers as Innergaze.
