Micah Lee is the chief technology officer and a board member of Freedom of the Press Foundation, and the author of Encryption Works. An avid GNU/Linux user, he has been writing code in a variety of languages for a variety of platforms for over a decade. He takes a keen interest in computer security, cryptography, privacy, Free Software, and Internet freedoms. He recently left his job as a technologist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation to join Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, and others at The Intercept.
