French-Italian DJ Giulia Fournier-Mercadante is known as GiGi FM for her hypnotic DJ sets. After studying dance in NYC, the versatile DJ moves to London where she co-organizes parties and DJs all over the city, not least as a resident at London's NTS Radio. She cites such diverse acts as Donato Dozzy, Björk, Function and Erik Satie as her musical influences. Her broad understanding of music is based on synaesthetic perception, the association of colors and sounds, which enables her to create particularly atmospheric, mysterious-auratic sets.
