Joe Muggs has been a fixture in underground electronic music for a quarter of a century as a DJ, promoter, and most notably as a journalist for The Guardian, The Telegraph, FACT, Mixmag, and The Wire. In December, his first book hit the shelves. Entitled Bass, Mids, Tops: An Oral History of Sound System Culture, it adds crucial primary source material to the story of dance music in the UK.
