The neighbouring garden at the foot of the Schloßberg expands the possibilities of the Heimatsaal and offers an inviting outdoor space for breaks and networking during the festival.

Orpheum + Orpheum Extra

The Orpheum, located in the middle of the up-and-coming Graz art and design quarter "Lend", has a very specific flair.
This results from the mixture of the sixties equipment of the foyer with the most current programs from the domestic cabaret and the international pop / rock scene.
Opened in 1899 as a variety theater "Orpheum", it was later cinema, then the Graz "House of Youth". Even today, the Orpheum attracts audiences of all ages. The unique is the in-house program, which is explicitly aimed at a young audience.

Grazer Dom Cathedral

Graz Cathedral, officially the cathedral, episcopal church and parish church of St Aegydius, is the cathedral church of the Graz-Seckau diocese.

The cathedral is considered one of the most important buildings in Graz in terms of art and cultural history. The building, designed in late Gothic style, was erected in the 15th century and became the court church of the Holy Roman Emperor under Frederick III. In 1786, when Graz became a bishop's see, it was elevated to the status of a cathedral church.

Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Emperor Ferdinand II is located right next to Grazer Dom Cathedral. For several years now, this impressive tomb has also served as a venue for the Elevate Festival, providing a stage for impressive sound experiments, installations, and atmospheric concerts.

The location is not heated! Please be prepared for cooler conditions.

Dom im Berg

Due to its unique architecture the Dom im Berg is probably the most original venue in Graz. The idea to build a multi-functional art space in the middle of Graz inside the rock of Schlossberg, was implemented in 1999 and opened at the National Exhibition in 2000. With a total area of 733 square meters and a height of 11 meters, it offers space for a wide variety of events.

Until 2024, the festival was able to use the "Berg der Erinnerungen" as an additional floor – known as Tunnel. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible. The Dungeon floor at "Uhrturmkasematten" has also given way to a 4D experience cinema.

GRNGR

The former Gehringer restaurant dates back to the late 17th century and served as a restaurant and residential building for more than 100 years. Since 2024, the former tavern premises have been used as an art and event venue. The Elevate Festival used this location for the first time in 2025 and will use it again in 2026 as a venue for its club programme.

The Gatto was unofficially opened for the Elevate Festival in 2023 and has been catering for visitors during the festival ever since.
