Berit Gwendolyn Gilma is a Grammy-nominated Austrian-born new media artist, art/creative director, and curator living between Los Angeles and Berlin. Working at the nexus of contemporary art, politics, and new technology, she is interested in the creation of poetic realities. As a Fulbright scholar she obtained a MFA at UCLA, prior she studied at The New School (NYC), RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) and UDK Berlin, where she studied under Ai Weiwei. As an explorer of the extreme pop-cultural worlds, she has always been close to the music industry and is currently the creative director of Hollywood composer Danny Elfman. She is also the vocalist of the band Der Kleine Tod, which she founded in 2024 together with Christian Fuchs.
