Marta Navaridas (at)

MARTA NAVARIDAS, born in San Sebastián, studied translation and interpreting at the UPF Barcelona, choreography at the ArtEZ College of Art in Arnhem and mime at the HKA Amsterdam Theater School. Since 2008, she has been developing contemporary choreographies and performance works with Alex Deutinger, such as Your Majesties, Speaking of Which, Queen of Hearts, Pontifex, I would like to be a better person and Octopus. Since 2015 she has been producing her own performances: The Battle, I Swear, Oníricia, Stomach, Manifestations, Once Upon a Time in the Flames: Our Firebird Ballet. Her works are co-produced by Tanzquartier Wien, brut, SZENE Salzburg, steirischer herbst, among others, and tour internationally. She has taught dance and performance strategies at Tanzquartier Wien, Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, K3 Center for Choreography Hamburg, Duncan Dance Center Athens, Espacio Común Bogotá, Tanzquartier and Impulstanz Festival. Since 2019, she has worked regularly as a guest choreographer for Schauspielhaus Graz. Marta Navaridas is a board member of the Verein Tanz Graz, a jury member of the Atelier Foreign Scholarships of the Province of Styria and an advisory board member for performing arts of the Cultural Board of the Province of Styria. She lives in Graz.
