The permanent sound installation "Music for Elevators" was created in 2020 together with the Finnish artist Jimi Tenor. The concept behind the "Music for Elevators" project is to transform the ride on the Schlossberg lift in Graz into a sound journey with a specially interpreted version of lift music. Since 2020, Jimi Tenor, Brian Eno, Dorian Concept, Suzanne Ciani and Maxime Denuc have collaborated on the project.
Maxime Denuc is a French electronic music composer based in Brussels. He co-founded Plapla Pinky, a duo noted for their unique approach to club music, somewhere between rave, baroque and contemporary music. Denuc will also be represented at Elevate 2026 with the installation “Elevations” in the Graz Mausoleum and is freely accessible on all festival days!
