15:00 – Closing concert at Graz Cathedral
Well-rested or not, this final concert is highly recommended to all — the festival’s finale in Graz Cathedral promises to be a true highlight. Within the grand setting of this mighty Gothic church, two masterful musicians will take to the stage: Kali Malone and Joachim Roedelius.
Kali Malone will perform on the cathedral’s powerful organ, bringing her distinctive, meditative compositions to life. The 90-year-old German musician and composer Joachim Roedelius, a key figure of the Krautrock era, blends electronic and classical music at the piano with his signature minimalist sound.
A contemplative close to five days filled with inspiring ideas, lively discussions, and unforgettable nights.

18:00 – Film Screening: An Army of Women
In recognition of International Women's Day, Elevate Festival presents An Army of Women by Julie Lunde Lillesæter in an hour. This documentary tells the story of women in Texas who unite to fight against sexual violence and an unjust legal system. The screening takes place in the Heimatsaal. Free entry!
09:00: The final day of the discourse programme focuses on political trust crises, global conflicts, and feminist struggles. At 10:00, the workshop "Speculative (AI) Futures" with Freyja van den Boom kicks off, followed by the keynote "What Comes After Trust?" by Barbara Prainsack.
In the afternoon, experts discuss political manipulation, corruption, and social movements in various panels. Paul Krisai (ORF) examines authoritarian systems, Gvantsa Gverdtsiteli (Transparency International) explores trust in climate policy, and Lukas Hermsmeier analyzes grassroots movements in the US. Another panel featuring Jens Balzer, Tom Khaled Würdemann, and Jouanna Hassoun delves into the challenges of constructive dialogue on the Middle East conflict.
20:00: Tonight at Dom im Berg, we’re in for a line-up that makes no compromises: The Bug feat. Flowdan & MC Manga Saint Hilare deliver powerful bass waves, while Tash LC, MCdälek, Mopcut and DJ Poldi round off the programme with more electrifying sounds.
With a festival wristband, you can ride the Schlossberglift from Dom im Berg up to the Schlossberg for free – accompanied by "Music for Elevators", the new sound installation by Suzanne Ciani. At the summit of the Schlossberg, things take a more relaxed turn at Aiola Upstairs, where the Atropa Kollektiv takes over the decks, curating a lighter yet equally thrilling musical journey.
A new addition to the festival scene is the GRNGR Stage, set to make up for the loss of the Tunnel Stage in the Schlossberg. Running parallel to Dom im Berg, this stage also features a top-tier club programme – with phloxx, A_Phan, Alex Wilcox, u.r.trax and DJ Hybris, ensuring the night pulses with energy.
17:00: In one hour, the artist talk with Dan Deacon will begin at Orpheum Extra, with free entry.
Later, the evening continues at Minoriten Cultural Center for the Acousmonium. Please arrive early – it starts punctually, and late entry is not possible (or only during the break). If you would like to attend the Acousmonium event with a festival pass, please collect a numbered ticket at the evening box office by 19:45 – while stocks last!
Before heading obligatorily to the Schlossberg on a Friday night, the Orpheum hosts concerts that blur the lines between club and pop. The programme is dedicated to Indietronica, spanning nostalgic pop, shimmering electronics, and NYC electroclash. Featuring Dan Deacon, Fat Dog, The Dare and Lucia Kagramanyan. Unfortunately, Sofie Royer had to cancel due to illness.
16:15: Sofie Royer's performance today has unfortunately been canceled:
"Unfortunately due to vocal chord strain, I will not be able to play the festival tonight- I would have loved to give you a great performance but it is not possible for me to sing and play tonight. I hope to be back in Graz very soon and wish you all a great festival!“

09:00: Good morning dear Elevators! What a beautiful day today!
Are you ready for day 3?
The discourse programme today explores non-human intelligences, (un)trustworthy AI, and net politics. The workshop “Manuals for Designing Trust” starts at 10:00. No registration required - just turn up and get involved!
At 13:00, renowned British artist, writer and technologist James Bridle will give a keynote speech on the diversity of non-human intelligences and show how plant and animal intelligences can be considered in dialogue with artificial and human intelligence.
The entire discourse programme is also available as livestream.
17:00: The first regular festival day focuses on abstract sounds and is entirely dedicated to experimentation. We begin in the sacred halls of the Mausoleum. In this special setting, Shida Shahabi, Antonina Nowacka, and Peter Stiegler will perform.
For those seeking catharsis rather than immersion, an intense counter-programme awaits at Forum Stadtpark: EAERES, a metal supergroup from the Vienna electronic scene, blends dark sounds with driving beats, while Pope Sangreta, aka Chin Tsao, addresses precarious conditions and racism in radical performances; additionally, the trio Saugbagger unleashes raw energy with hardcore punk, powerviolence, and free jazz.
Next, we continue with an outstanding line-up at Dom im Berg: The American composer and musician Suzanne Ciani is regarded as one of the early pioneers in the field of synthesizers.
Eli Keszler, Chloé Ryo, utopixel and Sun People will also perform at Dom im Berg. See you there!
09:00: Good morning Elevators! Did you enjoy yesterday's opening at the Orpheum?
The discourse programme at Elevate will kick off today at 11:00 in the Heimatsaal of the Volkskundemuseum with the workshop "Climate Collapse – Not Alone in This" by Dr. Samuel Eberenz, a climate researcher.
At 11:00, the installation "Data's Inferno" by Grammy-nominated Austrian new-media artist Berit Gwendolyn Gilma, and New York-based architectural designer and interdisciplinary artist Andreas Palfinger, will be unveiled at the Schlossbergstollen.
Following that, at 11:30, the opening of "Music for Elevators" with modular synth alchemist Suzanne Ciani will take place. On Thursday, Suzanne Ciani will not only perform a multi-channel live set at Dom im Berg, but will also activate the Schlossberg lift with a specially composed sound installation for it.
