aniel Drepper is an investigative reporter and has led the research collaboration between NDR, WDR, and Süddeutsche Zeitung since April 2022. His primary focus areas include labor exploitation, abuse of power, and environmental crimes.
Previously, he served as the editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed News Germany (later Ippen Investigativ) for five years, where he led numerous investigations on topics such as labor law, sexual violence, misinformation, and environmental issues. Drepper has also been a board member of "Netzwerk Recherche" since 2017 and its chairperson since 2021.
He co-founded Correctiv, Germany’s first non-profit investigative center, where he researched topics like the healthcare system, labor conditions, and the judiciary. In 2016, he published the non-fiction book "Jeder pflegt allein", which examines poor working conditions in German nursing homes.
In 2024, Daniel Drepper, in collaboration with Lena Kampf, published the book "Row Zero: Gewalt und Machtmissbrauch in der Musikindustrie".
