Baro Vicenta Ra Gabbert is a lawyer, author, and spokesperson for socio-ecological justice at Greenpeace Germany. A scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation, she studied law with a focus on international and public international law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at FGV Direito in Rio de Janeiro. Most recently, she advised independent experts supporting the German federal government on cross-cutting issues in child and youth policy and serves as Deputy Chair of the Federal Youth Advisory Council (Bundesjugendkuratorium).
As a co-founder of Climate Clinic e. V., she has been providing pro bono legal advice to climate activists and NGOs on climate- and law-related issues since 2020. DER SPIEGEL recognized her as a “Rising Star 2025.” Her thematic focus includes sustainable economic systems as well as climate and intergenerational justice. She has just co-published the book Keine Zukunft ist auch keine Lösung. Zwischen Krisen, Klimawut und einem Rest Hoffnung auf morgen.
