Paul Krisai was born in 1994 in Mödling near Vienna and studied journalism in Graz and St. Petersburg. From 2019 to 2023, he was a correspondent at the ORF Moscow bureau, which he also led from 2021. In 2022, he was awarded the Robert-Hochner Special Prize and named Austria’s “Journalist of the Year.” Together with Miriam Beller, he wrote the book „Russland von innen. Leben in Zeiten des Krieges“, published by Zsolnay. He is currently working in the foreign affairs department of Zeit im Bild at ORF in Vienna.
