Irma Mastenbroek is a Dutch mathematician based in Berlin. She works as an independent AI policy advisor and is involved as an expert in setting the industry standards for the EU AI act (JTC21). Her work focuses on the inclusion of human rights and fairness into algorithmic design. Alongside her work, Irma is an activist in topics surrounding online intimacy, such as deepfake pornography, big porn, and intersectional feminist platform governance. Her current free time research focuses on creating Cyborg Category Theory, a mathematical formalization of girl math.
