Barbara Prainsack (at)

Barbara Prainsack is a Professor of Comparative Policy Analysis at the University of Vienna, where she also leads the interdisciplinary research platform “Governance of Digital Practices.” In addition to her research and teaching activities, Barbara Prainsack serves on numerous advisory boards. She is, among other roles, the Chair of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies, which advises the European Commission. Her latest books on the topic of work were published in 2023 (Wofür Wir Arbeiten, Brandstätter) and 2024 (Arbeit - Care - Grundeinkommen, co-authored with M. Appel, Mandelbaum). In the academic year 2023/24, she was a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin.
