For two decades, Peaches has been considered one of the most legendary and influential feminist musicians and performance artists in the world. Born in Canada and now based in Berlin, Merrill Nisker's progressive work deals with socially explosive topics and focuses on issues of gender and sexuality often through biting humor.

Her live performances are considered excessive, flamboyant and ecstatic. In them, she advocates for self-empowerment and LGBTQ+ rights with fearless verve, challenging traditional gender roles, binary classifications and patriarchal power structures, and elaborating on personal experiences.
